Casey McCarroll, M.A. | Bio

Facing a life threatening illness during his teenage years, Casey’s personal rite of passage led him to a deep commitment to leading a rich and meaningful life and supporting others to do the same. His approach is built on the cornerstones of his education, work and life experience. In addition to holding a Master’s Degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, Casey has been mentored by leading edge pioneers in strength-based youth and personal development models. His professional experience includes working as a backpacking guide, outdoor adventure program coordinator, wilderness therapist and in schools as a Head Start teacher and high school counselor. After nearly two decades working in the field, Casey’s expertise and dedication are an invaluable asset to teens, young adults, adults and families. In addition to his private work, he is currently a transition counselor at Holden High School, a mentor to youth and group leaders for the Stepping Stones Project, and a quest guide for Wilderness Reflections. When not working, he can be found on the dance floor or wandering the East Bay hills enjoying the wonders of nature.
